About Me
Welcome to my page! My name is Sophia Tupa and I am currently a student at Wayne State University. I will be graduating in May 2023 with my bachelor's in Elementary Education and with a concentration in Integrated Science. I am so excited to become an educator and make a difference to my students.
Why I Chose to be an Educator
I chose to be an educator because my teachers made a huge impact on my life. Having my parents be immigrants from Albania, they didn't speak any English when I was a child, so my sister and I had to do a lot of school work by ourselves. My past teachers helped me learn by giving me that extra hand whenever I needed it and they were always very patient with me. And for that I always looked up to them and knew I wanted to do the same for my future students.
Another reason why I want to be an educator is because every day is so different, every day is a day to make a difference and to share my love for learning and teaching.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe that a teacher should always hold the highest expectations for her students, have an open mind and to always be positive. A Teacher should also make sure they are teaching not only to one student but to all the unique students that are in their class, by teaching in different ways, and also providing a safe environment where students can share all their wonderful ideas.
